March 31, 2020, Columbus – The Legacy Fund of the Columbus Foundation, announced its 2020 grants program will shift focus to providing flash grant funding to nonprofit organizations in the LGBTQ+ community directly impacted by COVD-19 in the central-Ohio region.
“We are seeing this pandemic impact critical service providing organizations in the LGBTQ+ community here in the central-Ohio region,” said Legacy Fund Development Committee Chair Densil Porteous. “While we know we will get through this moment, as we have other community altering moments before, it reminds us that we have to ‘step up and step out’ in support of each other to ensure the LGBTQ+ legacy survives. The LGBTQ+ community has fought many battles and won--this won't be the battle to which this community succumbs.”
The Legacy Fund of the Columbus Foundation is a unique endowment fund created by and for the central Ohio Lesbian / Gay / Bisexual / Transgender / Queer / Intersex/Ally (LGBTQIA) community.
