Kaleidoscope Youth Center
Kaleidoscope Youth Center, has been around since 1994. And we're still one of a kind. In fact, we're the largest and longest-standing organization in Ohio solely dedicated to serving and supporting queer youth. A grant was provided to continue the Legacy Fund’s support of Kaleidoscope’s emergency transitional housing and supportive services for LGBTQIA+ youth experiencing homelessness or housing insecurity. The Legacy Fund is proud to have helped launch this program in prior years.
Ohio State University Foundation
Ohio State University Foundation, A grant was provided to launch of the “Sexual and Gender Minorities in Healthcare Certificate for Current Practitioners” program in the Department of Women’s Gender and Sexuality Studies, a pioneering certificate program that will train health care providers and social services professionals to improve the quality of care for LGBTQIA+ people.
LifeCare Alliance
LifeCare Alliance, LifeCare Alliance's Project OpenHand-Columbus (POHC) fills a unique niche in central Ohio as the only agency providing individuals with HIV/AIDS with their most basic critical need: food. In addition, Project Open Hand offers a comprehensive array of basic needs services to people living with HIV/AIDS with home-delivered meals, nutritional counseling, and support services like emergency utility bill support to evolve to meet the needs of the LGBTQ+ community best.
