The Legacy Fund Board of Advisors Application
The Legacy Fund of the Columbus Foundation, a unique endowment fund created by and for the central Ohio LGBTQIA+ (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer, Intersex, Ally) communities, is currently seeking a small diverse group of motivated individuals to join the board of directors. The Legacy Fund is a volunteer board and all of the Fund’s activities are conducted by board members in conjunction with the Columbus Foundation.
Among other things, The Legacy Fund:
Makes strategic investments in the form of grants to help new and existing organizations become financially sustainable and achieve programmatic excellence with a focus on supporting and sustaining LGBTQIA+ equality;
Provides technical support to develop strong LGBTQIA+ community leadership and strengthen community institutions; and
Raises funds primarily through permanent, planned gifts and bequests to help ensure that the LGBTQIA+ community can face any challenges that confront it—now and for generations to come.
Interested applicants must complete our Board of Director Application Form.
Process: Once applications have been reviewed the entire Board of Directors will review the Executive Committee’s recommendations. All applicants will receive communications regarding this process from a Legacy Fund Board Member.
The Legacy Fund Executive Committee will begin to evaluate potential Board Member applications on Wednesday, March 5, 2025. Therefore applicants are strongly encouraged to submit their application before that date.
